Saturday, May 3rd 11-2pm
66 Whittlesy Lane, Pisquid, P.E.I. (Off Joey’s Road)

Pre-event Hike (7km, Rough terrain)
9:00- 11:00 am Interpretive Hike from South Loop Trailhead (Dromore Wilderness
Trails: corner of High Bridge and Dunphy rd. meet here at 8:45 am) to Shepherd’s Farm (return transportation provided).

11:00 -2:00 pm River tour of the spawning areas with interpretive staff
11:00- 1:00 pm Smelt fry and BBQ with local entertainment

It’s that time of the year again; the Pisquid River Enhancement Project is busy preparing for another busy season of stream enhancement work in the Pisquid, Clark’s Creek, Head of Hillsborough, and Newtown watersheds. We are also looking at expanding our enhancement efforts into the community of Vernon River.

The Pisquid Watershed group is currently preparing for a busy summer of stream enhancement!! We will be working again this year with the Scotchfort Abegweit band stream enhancement crew in the Pisquid, Clark’s Creek, and Head of Hillsborough watersheds. Plans are in the works for tree planting, digger log installation, beaver dam removal, as well as larger projects such as
